Our Fundraising Toolkit

Our Fundraising Toolkit is designed to help you to raise money and have fun! You may already have a good idea about how you're going to fundraise for Fledglings. Or you may be looking for inspiration - if so, you'll find lots of great ideas that you can use. But no matter how big or small your event, or how much money you raise, every penny will go towards supporting the work of Fledglings.

More Fundraising Ideas

There are lots of ways in which you could help us to do more of our work, and with many of them you can have some fun at the same time!

Employers
Many companies have a "Charity of the Year" or "Charity of the Month" - why not nominate Fledglings? Or maybe there's a social club or committee.

Collections
There are many events at which a collection is taken and donated to a charity, or a share of the proceeds. You could ask for Fledglings to be the recipient. For example:
          Church services
A concert given by a local choir or band
          School events
          Amateur art exhibitions
          Golf tournaments

Sponsored events
An old favourite that still works really well:
It could be running, walking, abseiling, skydiving, swimming
Do you know someone who regularly does events and could choose Fledglings?

Things to do at work
Okay some of these are a bit cheesy, but they do work!
          Dress-down day
Fine box for swearing or turning up late at meetings
Quiz night - get the grey cells going!
          Organise a treasure hunt
Ask the boss if you could put something on the website

Social organisations and clubs
Many organisations have as one of their main priorities to make charitable donations. Very often they will respond most favourably to an approach from someone local. They include:
          Round Table
          Rotary Clubs
          Lions
          Masonic lodges

Organise a fundraising event
Here are just a few ideas:

     Auction of promises
Bring and buy sale, maybe at a church or community centre
Dinner - cook a special dinner for donations
Pub crawl - how about fancy dress?
Car wash - maybe a local supermarket would allow you to use their car park?

Local charities and trusts
You or a friend might know of one, or might even know someone who's a trustee. It's well worth asking if they could consider a grant to Fledglings - we can provide the "words" if you need to write.

"Keep going and thank you so much for fledglings - we love that there is somewhere we find solutions to our problems rather than confused faces! You make us feel nearly normal!"

Lucy is a little girl with chronic juvenile arthritis who loved to draw until the pain when holding a pencil became too great. Lucy's mother contacted us to ask if we could help. After much discussion and careful searching we found two different types of crayon which were easier for Lucy to hold. She started drawing again and sent us this lovely picture to thank us.
