Biting & Chewing

Many people with special needs will bite or chew, especially those on the Autistic spectrum. There may be a range of reasons for this behaviour such as frustration, stress, anxiety, the desire to communicate or the need for sensory stimulation.

Sensory Integration

Many people find it difficult to process the sensory information they receive. Any of the senses: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste and Touch can be hyper-(over) or hypo-(under) sensitive.
