Fledglings receives over 650 communications from families and professionals each month, for help to overcome the practical problems of everyday living resulting from a child's disability or sickness. We're growing rapidly, with over 13,500 families and professionals on our mailing list.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the following areas of work:
Fundraising

Conducting surveys
Telephoning families for feedback and information
Entering data onto the computer

Most of the work will be based at our office. Fledglings operates from an office near Saffron Walden, adjacent to Audley End Train Station (on the Cambridge to London Liverpool Street line). We can reimburse reasonable transport costs.

"My daughter has a unique genetic condition and has a drooling problem. We are going to a family wedding and the lovely dress I have bought her will be soaked in minutes without protection. We also would like something pretty that would blend in with the colour of the dress. Can you please help?"

We used a photograph of the dress to find matching broderie anglaise fabric and produced waterproof and absorbent neckerchief bibs which were pretty but unobtrusive.
