Meet the Team
Fledglings is part of the charity Contact. The small team here look after all things to do with the shop. We are the ones that source products, work hard with suppliers to get the price we can, answer your calls and emails and of course manage the website.
We all work from home and stretch from Brighton to Newcastle, so a real mix.
Lisa Spann (Head of E-commerce)
Lisa has been working at Fledglings since April 2022, but have been in the world of web and ecommerce for many years. Lisa moved to Fledglings to help make a real difference and it is the first time she has worked for a charity.
Outside of work Lisa loves to travel, has a narrowboat and has a passion for all things tea related. When it comes to music she is a huge fan of Guns' n Roses and Depeche Mode.
At Christmas and Halloween, with her husband, they light up their house to raise money for their local children's hospice. They have tens of thousands of LEDs that change in time to music and put on two shows every night. Hundreds of people turn up to watch and thankfully, they have great neighbours.
Sophie (Website Administrator)
Sophie has been with Fledglings since 2019. Sophie is originally from Jersey and has a degree is Art and Design. As part of her role within Fledglings she creates the banners and social media images as well as being the first line of support for customers both on the phone and by email.
Sophie became a mum for the first-time in 2021 when Theo came along. Now working part-time she has her hands full, especially as she has a dog and a cat as well!
When she gets time Sophie enjoys walking, drawing, reading, gardening and spending time by the sea.
Sarah (website Administrator)
Sarah joined Fledglings in October 2022 to work alongside Sophie. Sarah is again on the front line helping customers with orders online and over the phone. Sarah is leading the way with our social media posts and engaging with customers especially on Facebook.
As a parent carer herself, Sarah truly understands the needs of parents and what they are going through. Sarah is also an active member of her local Parent Carer Forum.
Outside of work Sarah is keen on spending time with her family going to monster truck events. On calmer days you will usually find her in her in her garden growing fruit and vegetables.
Hayley (Merchandiser)
Hayley has worked with Fledglings since 2019 and is the one that helps us source any products that families need. Hayley's job is to work with suppliers and ensure we get the best stock as soon as we can and at the best price.
Outside of work Hayley has three children and a dog keeping her busy. However, she also makes time to teach inclusive and wheelchair dance classes.
