Product Description

Are you a parent looking to support your child with expressing their worries to you or are you a teacher looking for a way to engage children and young people in meaningful discussions about their worries and anxieties? Whichever you are, the Little Tin of Big Worries is an exceptional resource that provides a platform for open dialogue on common concerns.

Key Features:
  • Wide Range of Worries: This card set consists of 70 common worries that kids and young adults often face. These worries are thoughtfully grouped into five main areas, including Friendship, Home and Family, School and Society, Personal, and The World Around. Examples range from feeling alone to dealing with bullies, from coping with family changes to concerns about appearance and more. Additionally, there's a "?" card for users to add their own worry.
  • Practical Strategies: To help address these concerns, the Little Tin of Big Worries includes six Solution Cards. These strategy cards offer guidance on how to handle worries and empower users to choose appropriate ways to tackle each concern. The strategies cover asking for help, finding the positive aspects, taking preventative action, realising when a worry isn't yours to bear, seeking information, and discerning when a worry needs to be discarded.
  • User-Friendly Format: To get started, lay out the six Solution Cards and discuss their meanings. Then, place the Worry Cards face down, and players take turns selecting a card, discussing the worry, and determining which Solution Card is most relevant. This interactive process encourages thoughtful conversations and problem-solving.
  • Versatile Application: The Little Tin of Big Worries is suitable for a wide age range and various settings. Users can interpret the worries in their own way and relate them to their personal experiences. Many worries are relevant across different phases of life, from childhood to adulthood.
